History Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver the required curriculum with accurate and up-to-date subject knowledge.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to varying student abilities.
• Assess, record, and report on student progress, attainment, and behavior.
• Analyze student data to adapt classroom practices and ensure all learners reach their potential.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school leadership.
• Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) and school-wide activities.
• Support students with individual educational needs in collaboration with Learning Support Assistants.

Requirements

• Education or teaching degree, or a Bachelor's degree with a teaching license in a relevant subject.
• Minimum of two years of experience teaching A-levels in a relevant subject area or age group.
• Strong subject knowledge in History or Social Sciences.
• Proficiency in using ICT to aid teaching and learning in a school setting.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
• A UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check is required.
