History Residential Adjunct

Responsibilities

• Teach American Survey and Western Civilization courses within the Department of History
• Potentially teach American or European upper-level courses as required by departmental needs
• Model a personal commitment to the goals and values of Liberty University and a Christian worldview
• Employ various teaching techniques to foster excellent learning conditions and accommodate individual student needs
• Manage classrooms effectively and allocate teaching resources appropriately
• Mentor students and demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship
• Adhere to all University policies and work effectively as a collaborative team member

Requirements

• Master’s Degree from an accredited university in History, or a minimum of 18 graduate hours in history
• Proficiency in English with the ability to communicate articulately and professionally in writing and speech
• Advanced computer and scheduling skills
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills
• Ability to travel to local and campus locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in History or a related field from an accredited university
