About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute historical content including articles, brochures, social media posts, podcasts, and website content
- Manage archival processing, preservation, and metadata entry for the Historical Research Center
- Organize archival records using proper classification systems to facilitate user access and reference services
- Oversee curation of historical artifacts, including inventorying, accountability procedures, and deaccessioning
- Support museum operations through exhibit development, artifact solicitation, and providing guided tours
- Research and record the historical significance and origins of archival materials and artifacts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Library Science, Museum Studies, or a related field
- 5 years of hands-on experience in history, museum studies, or library science
- 1 year of experience in curation or a technical curatorial certificate
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting, editing, and presenting complex information
- High degree of attention to detail regarding metadata and record accuracy
