Histopathology Technician B

Responsibilities

• Manage operational histopathology processes, including the registration and processing of surgical and cytological specimens.
• Handle the reception of pathology samples and ensure the timely delivery of results.
• Operate and maintain assigned laboratory equipment.
• Execute protocols for attending to outpatient and hospitalized patients, as well as medical staff and families.
• Prepare biological specimens for analysis by pathologists.
• Manage the request of reagents, supplies, and administrative materials.
• Coordinate sample shipments to reference laboratories and track results and material returns.
• Maintain accurate patient records in pathology, laboratory, and institutional operating systems, including physical files.

Requirements

• Formal training as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.
• Proven experience working in the field of Histopathology.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
