Highways Maintenance Operative - Stump Grinder

Responsibilities

• Carry out stump grinding, root pruning, tree pit creation, and re-staking as part of the arboriculture team
• Set up safe working sites on the highway and liaise professionally with members of the public
• Follow safe systems of work, risk assessments, and safety procedures, including HSG47 guidelines
• Complete safety-critical emergency works when required
• Maintain accurate paperwork, including LOLER check sheets and HAVS forms

Requirements

• City & Guilds NPTC/Lantra chainsaw and stump grinding qualifications
• NRSWA or equivalent operative qualification
• CAT & Genny qualification and practical experience
• NPORS (or equivalent) lorry loader qualification with clamshell and timber grab attachments
• Full driving licence
