About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate light plant machinery including compressors, rollers, and disc cutters
- Assist skilled operatives with kerbing, drainage, paving, surfacing, and repair works
- Excavate soil, rock, asphalt, and concrete using hand and powered tools
- Perform general site duties such as sweeping, cleaning, litter picking, and material handling
- Carry out grass cutting, gully emptying, strimming, and traffic management
- Conduct daily maintenance checks on equipment
Requirements
- Experience in highway maintenance or a similar field
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Full UK driving licence
