Highways Maintenance Operative

Responsibilities

• Operate light plant machinery including compressors, rollers, and disc cutters
• Assist skilled operatives with kerbing, drainage, paving, surfacing, and repair works
• Excavate soil, rock, asphalt, and concrete using hand and powered tools
• Perform general site duties such as sweeping, cleaning, litter picking, and material handling
• Carry out grass cutting, gully emptying, strimming, and traffic management
• Conduct daily maintenance checks on equipment

Requirements

• Experience in highway maintenance or a similar field
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Full UK driving licence
