Highway Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct highway maintenance services including cleaning culverts and clearing brush
• Patch broken or eroded pavements and shoulders
• Assist in storm cleanup and emergency response
• Repair fences and signs
• Perform litter and debris removal
• Operate highway maintenance equipment and hand/power tools

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid Georgia driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving record
• Demonstrated training or experience in roadway maintenance activities
• Ability to work in adverse weather and lift moderately heavy objects
• Ability to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods
