High Voltage Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

• Lay out electrical conduit runs, pull wire, and make electrical connections using electrical schematics
• Perform high voltage terminations for up to 7200 volts
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and replace faulty components
• Detect and report defective materials, faulty operations, or unusual conditions to the supervisor
• Follow all prescribed safety regulations and company guidelines
• Perform rework, assembly, and other duties as directed
• Complete appropriate paperwork for rejected parts and manage leftover inventory

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Journeyman Electrician License
• Minimum of two years of experience as an electrician in a similar position
• Proven ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics and specifications
• Knowledge of high voltage terminations and electrical test equipment
• Ability to handle moderate physical demands, including lifting up to 30 lbs and climbing ladders
