High School Substitute Teacher

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement lesson plans prepared by the primary classroom teacher
• Create a respectful and inclusive classroom environment
• Provide individual and group instruction to meet varied learning needs
• Accurately record daily attendance and submit necessary documentation
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, grade-level teams, and administration
• Support students across a range of subjects for Grades 9-12

Requirements

• Relevant coursework or experience working with children in an educational setting
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to follow detailed lesson plans and adapt as necessary
• Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and administrators
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Ability to occasionally lift or move objects up to 20 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Valid state teaching certification
• Prior experience working in a school environment
• Familiarity with high school curriculum
