High School Step Team Coach

Responsibilities

• Prepare for projects, competitions, and after-school practices
• Lead weekly practices with students on Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Research, identify, and register for appropriate step competitions and tournaments
• Coach and travel with students to at least six weekend tournaments over a 6-month period
• Chaperone students to regional and national level competitions
• Establish and maintain family communication protocols via the Remind app

Requirements

• Experience as a step coach
• Ability to commit to approximately 6 hours of practice per week
• Availability to travel for weekend competitions
• Ability to manage student motivation and preparation for competitive levels
