QED.ai is a tech company focused on public health and food security in Sub-Saharan Africa. We build the digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence that empowers the intersection of aid and scientific inquiry, including epidemiological surveillance, nutrient analysis, and STEM education.

Responsibilities

• Teach STEM subjects daily to high school students, with a primary focus on mathematics.
• Co-develop high school lesson plans and curriculums focusing on practical STEM topics.
• Lead weekly math circles for community members, including adults and children.
• Plan and administer national-scale STEM contests such as Mathematical Kangaroo and the Pan-African Mathematical Olympiad.
• Engage in governmental advocacy to set higher standards for STEM proficiency.
• Assist executives with business development in education and building Asia-Africa STEM partnerships.

Requirements

• Proficiency in teaching core STEM subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Mechatronics) at the junior high and high school level.
• Experience coaching and mentoring students for mathematics or science competitions.
• Willingness to physically relocate from the Philippines to Lilongwe, Malawi.
• Working proficiency in English (C1 level) with typing speed of at least 25 wpm.
• Basic fluency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong logical reasoning and clear communication skills.
• Emotional resilience and ability to work in multicultural environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Past participation in STEM-related national or international competitions (e.g., MTAP, PPO, PMO, NOI, TAMA).
• Experience with technology education, including Python, Scratch, or robotics/circuits.
