About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide special education instruction and case management for high school students with IEPs
- Write, deliver, and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Deliver culturally responsive instruction aligned with the IB curriculum framework
- Provide behavioral support to students with Tier 3 behaviors and special education classifications
- Conduct special education meetings and manage compliance with OSSE regulations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school leadership
- Teach an advisory class using the school's advisory curriculum
- Integrate technology and 1:1 Chromebooks into daily instruction
- Support transition planning and advocate for students with disabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Master's Degree in secondary education or content area preferred
- Previous teaching experience in special education strongly preferred
- Proficiency with G-Suite tools and instructional technology platforms
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check

- Experience with IB MYP/DP and language immersion programs
- Ability to manage a high-performing charter school classroom environment
