About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide special education instruction and case management for high school students with IEPs
  • Write, deliver, and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver culturally responsive instruction aligned with the IB curriculum framework
  • Provide behavioral support to students with Tier 3 behaviors and special education classifications
  • Conduct special education meetings and manage compliance with OSSE regulations
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school leadership
  • Teach an advisory class using the school's advisory curriculum
  • Integrate technology and 1:1 Chromebooks into daily instruction
  • Support transition planning and advocate for students with disabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree in secondary education or content area preferred
  • Previous teaching experience in special education strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with G-Suite tools and instructional technology platforms
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to pass a background check
