About the role
Responsibilities
- Build students' bilingual skills and enhance understanding of the Spanish language
- Teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
- Cultivate cultural awareness and confidence in Spanish conversation
- Analyze student work samples and assessments weekly to respond to trends
- Implement differentiated instruction for all learners
- Build positive relationships with students and partner with families
- Participate in professional development, mentorship, and coaching
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Academic expertise in Spanish or related fields
- Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools
- Ability to meet NJ state certification eligibility requirements
- Commitment to supporting social-emotional and academic development
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in urban K-12 education
