About the role
Responsibilities
- Build students' bilingual skills and enhance understanding of Spanish language
- Teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
- Cultivate cultural awareness and confidence in Spanish conversation
- Analyze student work samples and assessments with instructional coaches
- Implement differentiated instruction strategies for all learners
- Build positive relationships with students and partner with families
- Participate in professional development, mentorship, and school-wide meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Academic expertise in Spanish or related fields
- Interest in impacting K-12 students in urban communities
- Ability to pass state teacher certification tests (MTELs) within the first year of employment
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in urban K-12 schools
- Existing MA educator's license
