High School Spanish Teacher

Responsibilities

• Build students' bilingual skills and enhance understanding of Spanish language
• Teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
• Cultivate cultural awareness and confidence in Spanish conversation
• Analyze student work samples and assessments with instructional coaches
• Implement differentiated instruction strategies for all learners
• Build positive relationships with students and partner with families
• Participate in professional development, mentorship, and school-wide meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Academic expertise in Spanish or related fields
• Interest in impacting K-12 students in urban communities
• Ability to pass state teacher certification tests (MTELs) within the first year of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in urban K-12 schools
• Existing MA educator's license
