High School Social Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and behavior management to support student learning
• Conduct individual and group counseling (school-based and mandated)
• Develop and implement curriculum for social and emotional development
• Serve as a Case Manager and member of the Child Study Team
• Strengthen parent and family involvement and community partnerships
• Evaluate students' personal, family, and socio-economic backgrounds to support adjustment
• Collaborate with educators on school-based interventions and professional development
• Participate in school-wide duties including supervision and community events

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work
• LMSW or LCSW licensure
• Valid School Social Worker Certification from NYDOE
• Experience working in urban schools (highly preferred)
