High School Science Teacher

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive science curriculum for high school students that meets state standards and reflects cultural responsiveness
• Implement inquiry-based and hands-on learning experiences to engage students in scientific concepts and practices
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including English language learners
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and community partners to support student success
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of instructional practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Education
• Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Science
• English Learner Authorization and/or Bilingual Authorization (BCLAD or equivalent) preferred
• Experience teaching high school science, preferably in diverse or bilingual settings
• Strong classroom management skills and commitment to culturally responsive pedagogy
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Passion for mentoring and inspiring students to achieve their full potential
