High School Science Teacher

Responsibilities

• Execute engaging learning experiences, interventions, and enrichment aligned with college-preparatory standards
• Hold students to high academic, behavioral, and social standards
• Follow all WI DPI teacher standards and work with Instructional Coaches to improve practice
• Create trusting relationships with students and their families
• Analyze data to set individual learning plans and team goals
• Incorporate technology into daily teaching
• Maintain weekly grade updates in PowerSchool
• Supervise students to ensure safety at all times

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Licensure issued by Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction (or eligibility) in all subject areas to be taught
• Successful teaching experience, urban school experience preferred
• Knowledge of classroom management and college readiness
• Ability to serve as an advisor to a small group of students
• Ability to function in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
