About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute engaging learning experiences, interventions, and enrichment aligned with college-preparatory standards
- Hold students to high academic, behavioral, and social standards
- Follow all WI DPI teacher standards and work with Instructional Coaches to improve practice
- Create trusting relationships with students and their families
- Analyze data to set individual learning plans and team goals
- Incorporate technology into daily teaching
- Maintain weekly grade updates in PowerSchool
- Supervise students to ensure safety at all times
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Licensure issued by Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction (or eligibility) in all subject areas to be taught
- Successful teaching experience, urban school experience preferred
- Knowledge of classroom management and college readiness
- Ability to serve as an advisor to a small group of students
- Ability to function in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
