High School Principal

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and administrative oversight for the high school unit.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop and implement an instructional program aligned with district philosophy and school policies.
• Conduct targeted classroom observations and provide coaching to improve teacher practice and student learning.
• Manage campus personnel, including the evaluation and recommendation of staff for assignment, promotion, or dismissal.
• Oversee student discipline, attendance, and the maintenance of accurate student accounting records.
• Manage the campus budget, internal financial records, and school property.
• Coordinate extracurricular activities, athletic programs, and standardized assessments.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and the local community.
• Ensure a safe and healthy school environment and oversee facility maintenance requirements.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree.
• Principal, Principal as Instructional Leader, or Mid-Management Certificate.
• Texas Teacher Evaluation Support System (T-TESS) and Principal Evaluation Support System (T-PESS) certification.
• Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) or Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) certificate.
• Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience as an Assistant Principal or District Coordinator.
• Working knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and the ability to evaluate teaching effectiveness.
• Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
