Responsibilities
- Use Math curriculum to teach Algebra, Geometry, or Calculus
- Support students in critical thinking and problem-solving
- Cultivate student ability to construct and justify mathematical arguments
- Analyze student work samples and assessments weekly with leadership
- Implement differentiated instruction strategies for all learners
- Build positive relationships with students and families
- Participate in professional development, mentorship, and coaching
- Engage in weekly school-wide meetings and grade-level planning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum 2.5 GPA
- Academic expertise in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or related fields
- Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban communities
- Ability to pass state teacher certification tests (MTELs) within the first year
- Commitment to supporting students' social-emotional and academic development
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working with K-12 students in urban schools
- Existing MA educator's license
