Responsibilities

  • Use Math curriculum to teach Algebra, Geometry, or Calculus
  • Support students in critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Cultivate student ability to construct and justify mathematical arguments
  • Analyze student work samples and assessments weekly with leadership
  • Implement differentiated instruction strategies for all learners
  • Build positive relationships with students and families
  • Participate in professional development, mentorship, and coaching
  • Engage in weekly school-wide meetings and grade-level planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Academic expertise in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or related fields
  • Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban communities
  • Ability to pass state teacher certification tests (MTELs) within the first year
  • Commitment to supporting students' social-emotional and academic development

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience working with K-12 students in urban schools
  • Existing MA educator's license
