Responsibilities
- Design and implement dynamic, standards-aligned math lesson plans that foster mastery of grade-level content
- Assess student progress using exams, projects, and written work to personalize instruction
- Establish and maintain high academic and behavioral standards to motivate student achievement
- Utilize diverse teaching strategies, including direct instruction and hands-on projects, to engage students
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, educators, and support staff to meet individual student needs
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a culture of trust and success
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid New York State Teaching Certification
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in an urban school setting
