High School Health Teacher

Responsibilities

• Design and implement dynamic, standards-aligned health education activities
• Assess student progress using various methods to personalize instruction and ensure continuous growth
• Establish and maintain high academic and behavioral standards to motivate students
• Utilize diverse teaching strategies, including direct instruction and hands-on projects, to engage students
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and fellow educators to meet individual student needs
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a culture of trust and success

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid Health Education New York State Teaching Certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a health teacher in an urban school setting
