High School Chemistry Teacher

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction and internalize or develop curriculum
• Track and measure student progress, including managing IEPs
• Create a positive classroom and school culture
• Collaborate with grade teams and instructional leadership
• Utilize co-teaching models in ICT sections
• Model core values and restorative practices for students
• Set ambitious instructional goals through backwards planning

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in relevant educational positions teaching Science
• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• New York State teaching certification for subject area (or in process)
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Demonstrated success with traditionally at-risk students

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching Chemistry specifically
• Fluency in Spanish (speaking, writing, and understanding)
