About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a high school chemistry classroom to drive student growth and achievement through rigorous, engaging instruction
- Prepare and internalize academically aligned lesson plans, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment where all students are affirmed and challenged
- Regularly analyze student work and academic data to modify lessons and refine instructional practice
- Implement school-wide student culture systems and proactive classroom management strategies
- Maintain accurate student records and establish strong communication with families regarding student progress
- Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to implement grade-wide systems and tackle common challenges
- Participate in professional development, including summer pre-service training and weekly sessions during the academic year
Requirements
- 2+ years of full-time teaching experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to obtain required MTEL and SEI endorsements (financial and study support provided)
- Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check

Benefits
- Base salary ranging from $55,000 to $89,500 depending on experience and advanced degrees
- $1,000 signing bonus
- $2,000 annual retention bonus in subsequent years
