High School Chemistry Lead Teacher

Responsibilities

• Lead a high school chemistry classroom to drive student growth and achievement through rigorous, engaging instruction
• Prepare and internalize academically aligned lesson plans, unit plans, rubrics, and assessments
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment where all students are affirmed and challenged
• Regularly analyze student work and academic data to modify lessons and refine instructional practice
• Implement school-wide student culture systems and proactive classroom management strategies
• Maintain accurate student records and establish strong communication with families regarding student progress
• Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to implement grade-wide systems and tackle common challenges
• Participate in professional development, including summer pre-service training and weekly sessions during the academic year

Requirements

• 2+ years of full-time teaching experience
• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to obtain required MTEL and SEI endorsements (financial and study support provided)
• Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check

Benefits

• Base salary ranging from $55,000 to $89,500 depending on experience and advanced degrees
• $1,000 signing bonus
• $2,000 annual retention bonus in subsequent years
