High School Athletics Coach

Responsibilities

• Foster a lifelong love of movement, teamwork, and resilience through high-energy programming
• Build confident, disciplined student-athletes across multiple sports and fitness activities
• Emphasize character, respect, and accountability within a culturally responsive athletics program
• Support varsity players and first-time participants to ensure physical and mental growth

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of coaching experience, preferably at the high school or youth level
• Strong foundational knowledge of sport-specific techniques, training methods, and strategy
• Demonstrated commitment to working with high school students in urban school settings
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid, NFHS, NJSIAA)
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ability to complete NJSIAA-mandated safety certifications and criminal background checks
