About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide High Performance Computing (HPC) administration within a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems involving the integration of HPC hardware, software, and operating systems
- Perform OS tuning to maximize system performance on high-performance computing systems
- Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements
- Develop and implement new technologies based on industry best practices
- Provide documentation and training on advanced HPC processes and mentor junior team members
- Obtain required DoD 8140/8570 certifications (such as CompTIA Security+ CE) within 6 months of hire
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and less than 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of relevant technical experience in IT or Digital Technology
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Experience in Windows and/or Linux Server environments, including directory services management and system hardening
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) in a Linux environment
- Working knowledge of HPC scheduling and monitoring tools such as SLURM, Grid Engine, or Ganglia
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server environments
- Advanced hands-on experience with Windows and Unix security hardening and authentication service integration (LDAP)
- Basic to advanced scripting experience and project management skills
