Hi-Rail Railroad Technician

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage assigned jobs and contracts
• Apply herbicides for weed, grass, and brush control across railroad locations
• Handle daily routing, scheduling, and chemical tank mixing
• Conduct truck inspections and manage maintenance for trucks and spray systems
• Calibrate all spray equipment
• Maintain daily and weekly records
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and address complaints professionally
• Ensure all work adheres to strict safety protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid state driver's license with 5+ years of clean driving history
• Willingness to travel away from home for up to 4-6 weeks at a time
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, DOT physical, and background check
• Ability to work shifts ranging from 10 to 12 hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Commercial Pesticide Applicator License
• Prior experience in Hi-Rail or Vegetation Spray industry
