Hi-Rail Railroad Technician

Responsibilities

• Apply herbicides for weed, grass, and brush control across various railroad locations
• Supervise and manage assigned jobs and contracts
• Perform daily tank mixing of chemicals and calibrate all spray equipment
• Conduct truck inspections and manage maintenance and repairs for trucks and spray systems
• Handle daily routing, scheduling, and maintenance of daily/weekly records
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and address complaints professionally
• Ensure all work adheres to strict safety protocols and report potential liabilities immediately

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid state driver's license with at least 5 years of clean driving history
• Willingness to travel away from home for up to 4-6 weeks at a time (hotel expenses covered)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, DOT physical, and background check
• Ability to work a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, typically 10 to 12 hours per day

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Commercial Pesticide Applicator License
• Prior experience in the Hi-Rail or Vegetation Spray industry
