HHW Technician

Responsibilities

• Manage household hazardous waste collection events and similar activities
• Unload materials from vehicles, trucks, and pick-ups
• Recognize and respond to potentially dangerous chemical handling situations
• Segregate chemicals into appropriate packaging categories or DOT hazard classes
• Differentiate and consolidate similar materials while wearing respiratory protection
• Adhere to all health, safety, and compliance procedures and policies
• Maintain a professional image during regular customer interactions

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to travel to different locations
• Ability to be clean-shaven

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with hazardous waste
• 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
