HHW Technician

Responsibilities

• Unload materials from vehicles, trucks, and pick-ups during collection events
• Segregate chemicals into proper packaging categories or DOT hazard classes
• Recognize and respond to potentially dangerous situations related to chemical handling
• Follow all compliance, health, and safety procedures in accordance with departmental policies
• Maintain a professional company image during regular customer interactions
• Work effectively as part of a team in a changing job environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to be clean-shaven for safety compliance
• Ability to travel to different locations
• Ability to wear respiratory protection

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with hazardous waste
• 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
