HGV Technician

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs safely and responsibly according to manufacturer procedures and Volvo Standard Times
• Utilize Volvo Special Tools to ensure high-quality maintenance and repair work
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process and comply with all warranty procedures
• Collaborate with the Parts Team to ensure correct replacement parts are fitted
• Complete job cards, service sheets, and time recording procedures accurately
• Report all vehicle defects to workshop controllers
• Maintain clean and well-organized workshop facilities, equipment, and tools
• Support the development of young trainees and apprentices within the workshop

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• A full UK driving licence (HGV licence is preferred but not essential)
• A proactive attitude with a focus on customer service and safety
