HGV Grab Driver/Operative

Responsibilities

• Excavation and backfill using the Grab wagon
• Assist with manual backfilling and material movement
• Ensure precise reinstatement work around buried utility plant
• Maintain safe operations near overhead electricity and telephone lines
• Manage Signing, Lighting, and Guarding (SLG) of work areas
• Follow all Safe Systems of Work procedures

Requirements

• Full HGV Licence with authorisation to operate Grab/Lorry Loader vehicle
• Minimum 1 year experience operating a grab wagon
• Streetworks Qualification Units 1-7 or equivalent
• Current EUSR CSCS SHEA Power card or equivalent
• Full, clean driving licence

Preferred Qualifications

• First Aid Certificate
• Manual Handling Certification
• Abrasive Wheels Training
