HGV Driver

Responsibilities

• Report to the Transport Shift Manager at the start of shift
• Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
• Observe and adhere to company rules, procedures, health, safety, and hygiene
• Manage working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph regulations
• Complete daily vehicle checks, including unit, trailer, and temperature checks
• Make professional deliveries to customers' premises
• Report any delivery delays or load discrepancies immediately
• Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned
• Achieve fuel efficiency targets set by the business

Requirements

• Possession of LGV Class C+E Licence
• Valid DCPC
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
