HGV Class 2 Driver Loader

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate company vehicles and equipment in accordance with safety procedures and legal requirements
• Load, transport, and unload waste and recycling materials at designated facilities
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and appearance
• Complete daily paperwork, electronic records, and defect reporting accurately using mobile IT equipment
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, customers, and members of the public
• Work flexibly across different locations including Avonmouth, Albert Road Depot, and Hartcliffe to provide operational cover

Requirements

• Valid Category C licence (Class 2), Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card
• Proficiency in using mobile IT equipment and following digital reporting procedures
• Strong understanding of HGV driving laws, including tachograph rules and working time requirements
• Physical fitness and ability to perform outdoor work in all weather conditions, including moving bins and handling containers
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements regarding waste and recycling
• Experience in waste, recycling, or commercial collections is desirable
