HGV Class 1 Driver

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect airfreight directly to and from aircraft
• Operate Class 1 vehicles in an airside environment at Heathrow
• Work a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern reporting to the Cargo Coordinator
• Ensure loads are secure and paperwork is accurate
• Inspect vehicles as per DVSA guidelines and report faults
• Perform minor vehicle repairs such as headlight or marker light replacements
• Adhere to all tachograph and Working Time Directive rules
• Service Japanese carriers including Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways
• Handle mail deliveries for Royal Mail Group and transshipments

Requirements

• Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Ability to pass a 5-year background check (employment and address history)
• Ability to obtain a clear DBS check
• Strong safety mindset and professional driving standards
• Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
