HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK
• Complete nationwide deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres
• Load and unload where required using PPT equipment
• Report to the Transport team regarding delays, delivery issues, or load discrepancies
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned
• Follow company procedures including health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Manage working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Maintain professional standards of behaviour and customer service

Requirements

• Valid C+E Licence
• Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred
• No more than 6 points on licence with no DD or DR code convictions
• Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive legislation
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly
• Excellent communication skills
