HGV Class 1 Driver

Responsibilities

• Carry out chilled distribution deliveries to main retail RDCs nationwide
• Complete self-tip deliveries including breaking down pallets where required
• Collect equipment or returns from customer locations
• Report to the Transport team regarding delays, delivery issues, or load discrepancies
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Manage working time in compliance with Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules
• Maintain professional standards of behavior and customer service

Requirements

• Valid C+E Licence
• Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred
• No more than 6 points on licence with no DD or DR convictions
• Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive legislation
• Ability to live within a reasonable commute of Evesham

Preferred Qualifications

• Newly qualified drivers with a strong attitude and willingness to learn
