About the role
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage an outpatient Hepatology clinic and clinical research program
- Provide comprehensive liver care within a tertiary Level 1 teaching hospital environment
- Participate in inpatient care and rounding on liver patients
- Engage in teaching opportunities with medical students, fellows, and residents at Old Dominion University
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in nutrition, endocrine, metabolic, and cardiovascular disease research
- Participate in a shared call rotation with the GI team (not to exceed 1:5)
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Gastroenterology
- Primary clinical focus in Hepatology
Preferred Qualifications
- Transplant Hepatology certification
