Help Desk Specialist I

Responsibilities

• Provide phone, webchat, and in-person IT support to end users and external vendors
• Research and resolve basic network, hardware, and software application issues
• Document and track issue details, status, and resolutions using help desk tracking applications
• Perform end-user computer refreshes and assist with division office moves
• Complete work orders and document all troubleshooting steps thoroughly
• Participate in on-call rotations and work overtime as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-4 years of related experience or training in an IT support environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, and Microsoft Office
• Experience troubleshooting computer components and replacing hardware parts
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing Windows, Android, or Apple phone support
• Experience with remote connectivity software such as VNC or Cisco AnyConnect
• CompTIA A+ or similar technical certification
