Helium Logistics Planner I

Responsibilities

• Schedule container movements and plan helium shipments between product resources, transfill plants, and customer sites using scheduling programs
• Coordinate shipments with various carriers, freight forwarders, and drivers
• Manage customer orders via phone, email, or online ordering systems to arrange required supply
• Monitor and coordinate imports and exports with logistics partners
• Work with helium distribution centers to coordinate shipments based on available inventory
• Research, record, and calculate accurate gas readings for billing purposes
• Identify distribution cost savings opportunities and consider cost implications of logistics decisions
• Ensure all deliveries comply with Quality Assurance and applicable regulatory programs
• Record Quality Incident Reports to support continuous system improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management
• 5+ years of experience in logistics, production planning, or supply chain business environments
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or customer service
• Proven knowledge of Export/Import processes
• Knowledge of the Industrial Gas industry
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word
• Ability to work in an ambiguous and constantly changing environment
• Willingness to work modified shifts (07:00 to 17:30 CST) and participate in a 24/7 rotating call service
