Helicopter Pilot (Instructor)

Responsibilities

• Provide flight instruction, coaching, and mentorship to student pilots in rotary wing aircraft
• Conduct intensive training designed to prepare students for roles as military aviators
• Maintain a high standard of safety within the Rotary Wing Flight Training culture
• Deliver instruction in the UH-72 aircraft

Requirements

• FAA commercial pilot certificate and FAA flight instructor certificate (Rotorcraft category, Helicopter class, and Instrument helicopter ratings) or graduate of a DOD rotary wing instructor pilot course
• 1,500 total flight hours
• 500 hours of instructor time
• 100 hours of hooded instrument, flight simulator instrument, or weather pilot time
• 75 hours of night flying
• Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
• For Basic Warfighter Skills: NVG qualified with 200 hours of NVG time
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
