Hedge Fund Due Diligence Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support the sourcing, underwriting, and ongoing monitoring of hedge funds through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Provide analytical and data support to comprehensively underwrite new investments, including analysis of fund performance and investments.
• Assist senior researchers in evaluating potential hedge fund investments and monitoring existing ones regarding portfolio construction, liquidity, and risk management.
• Maintain and analyze recurring and bespoke data related to hedge funds, including the creation of annual fund decks with performance attribution.
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with Specialists, Portfolio Managers, and Operational Due Diligence teams.
• Communicate investment findings effectively through written reports and verbal presentations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant investment experience.
• Functional exposure to hedge fund investments within cross-asset, fixed income, or equities.
• Working knowledge of various investment products, including mutual funds, ETFs, and structured products.
• Experience with market data tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Morningstar.
• Exposure to investment management analytical functions such as Risk, Attribution, Performance, or Research.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Engineering).
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CIPM, or FRM.
