About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, standards-based Hebrew instruction using immersive techniques
  • Design and submit weekly lesson plans based on second language acquisition principles
  • Conduct lessons and communicate with students exclusively in Hebrew
  • Analyze, design, and document formative and summative assessments
  • Maximize learning time through effective classroom management
  • Collaborate with faculty and instructional leaders to ensure curricular coherence
  • Engage families through intentional relationship building and communication
  • Participate in curriculum development and effectiveness assessment

Requirements

  • Native or near-native level of fluency in Hebrew
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Knowledge of language acquisition and proficiency-based instruction
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Legal authorization to work in the USA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • K-12 lead teaching experience in a classroom setting
  • Experience in urban, public charter, or Title I schools
  • NY teacher certification or currently working towards certification
