Heavy Machinery Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery including wheel loaders and hydraulic excavators
• Perform soil, granular material, and water sampling
• Supervise truck arrivals and manage soil reception at various sites
• Assist with daily treatment center tasks such as installing soil covers and maintaining site cleanliness
• Operate water treatment systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment including truck scales, blowers, and pumps
• Provide technical support to the Operations Manager and field support to technicians and other operators
• Strictly apply and promote health and safety regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (DEP in construction equipment operation is an asset)
• 3 to 5 years of experience operating wheel loaders and hydraulic excavators
• Class 5 driver's license
• Fluency in written and spoken French
• Ability to work outdoors and tolerate strong odors
• Proactive attitude with a strong team spirit

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of soil treatment center operations
• WHMIS (SIMDUT) certification
