Heavy Machinery Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery on-site, including wheel loaders and hydraulic excavators
• Load and move materials into dump trucks
• Perform piling and mixing of soil piles undergoing treatment
• Monitor site operations in coordination with the site supervisor
• Maintain equipment and perform routine upkeep
• Manage the reception of materials on-site
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site
• Assist and train junior operators
• Make operational decisions in the absence of the operations manager when required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating wheel loaders and hydraulic excavators
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Fluency in written and spoken French
• Ability to work outdoors and tolerate strong odors and demanding environments
• Proactive attitude, punctuality, and strong teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• DEP in construction equipment operation
• Knowledge of soil treatment center operations
