Heavy Equipment Traveling Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on heavy equipment and aerial lifts
• Use technology including laptops and tablets to create, assign, and monitor work orders
• Diagnose issues using real-time data and industry-leading diagnostic tools
• Practice safe job practices and maintain electronic documentation of work performed
• Travel to customer job sites within the assigned territory for equipment repair
• Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed
• Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts

Requirements

• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and schematics
• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicles
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or Trade school certificate
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements
