Heavy Equipment Technician (Mechanic) Apprentice

Responsibilities

• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
• Use technology including laptops and tablets comfortably
• Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Maintain electronic documentation of work performed via work orders
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
• Travel to customer job sites for field repairs when required
• Participate in year-round company-provided OEM training

Requirements

• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Understanding of construction equipment schematics and diagrams
• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA requirements
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair
