Heavy Equipment Shop Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment
• Use technology including laptops and tablets to create, assign, and monitor work orders
• Diagnose issues and determine root cause and corrective action using real-time data
• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
• Maintain electronic documentation of work performed in a timely manner
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts

Requirements

• Must own tools applicable to the position
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with understanding of schematics and diagrams
• High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred
• Ability to move, stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to pass a 10 panel drug screen and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements
