Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation primarily using a front-end loader
• Perform pre-trip inspections and grease fittings as needed
• Provide guidance and serve as a spotter for trucks arriving and departing
• Maintain clean process operations and organized work areas
• Participate in pre-shift and post-shift safety and operational meetings
• Adhere to all company and governmental safety regulations

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, specifically front-end loaders
• Ability to walk over uneven surfaces and climb onto equipment
• Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold temperatures
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment
• Capability to work overtime and various shifts including weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with haul trucks, water trucks, telehandler forklifts, skid steers, or excavators
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to use a computer to access training portals
• Professional communication skills with coworkers and visitors
