Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of heavy equipment in compliance with district safety policies and procedures
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers
• Maintain, clean, and store equipment and materials in a safe and proper manner
• Maintain and care for school grounds and facilities
• Operate equipment carefully to prevent damage to district or campus property
• Complete necessary paperwork, reporting, and other required documentation
• Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
• Work extra-curricular functions and irregular hours as requested, including weekends, nights, football games, and election days

Requirements

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Type A (must submit a copy with application)
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, including exposure to hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to perform strenuous walking, standing, and climbing
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the operation of heavy equipment
