About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy mobile equipment in a safe, efficient, and productive manner
- Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and complete required documentation
- Identify and report mechanical issues or unsafe conditions promptly
- Follow mine site safety procedures, policies, and MSHA regulations at all times
- Work closely with supervisors, dispatch, and other team members to meet daily production targets
- Maintain clean and orderly equipment cabs and work areas
- Assist with general mine site tasks as needed to support operations
Requirements
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment in mining, quarry, construction, or similar industrial environments
- Ability to safely operate haul trucks, loaders, excavators, or dozers
- MSHA certification preferred
- Strong understanding of equipment safety protocols and hazard awareness
- Ability to work in varying weather and site conditions
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
- Ability to work day shift, night shift, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in dusty, rugged outdoor environments
